“Helping veterans break through the ceiling in their businesses and regain their lives is my purpose.”
– Nick Bradfield, EOS Implementer

Nick shares a simple message with veteran-owned/operated businesses

You don't have to be constantly stressed and frustrated — with people, with lack of profits, or with lack of time. It's possible to get your life back. It's possible to enjoy running your business again.

"Small businesses are the backbone of the economy. I also believe veterans are uniquely equipped to run those businesses."

Veterans are built for leadership

They've already proven they can lead in the toughest environments imaginable. Veterans know discipline, structure, and teamwork. When they start or run a business, it seems like those skills would carry them through, and while they can get the organization pretty far, business is its own battlefield.

Hitting the ceiling

If a business operates long enough, it will hit a ceiling. While many aspects of military training and values are huge assets in business, the tools are different, and this needs to be understood.

We focus on three things:

  • Aligning vision — getting everyone moving in the same direction
  • Gaining traction through discipline and accountability
  • Functioning as a healthy team

Mission critical leadership

Veteran entrepreneurs need to master 5 Leadership Abilities:

  • Simplify - If it feels complicated, it probably is. Strip it down to what really matters.
  • Delegate - can be tough for a lot of vets, but get the right people in the right seats and let them own it.
  • Predict - planning ahead is second nature to vets and prediction keeps your business proactive instead of reactive.
  • Systematize - document and consistently follow core processes that emphasize 'what' needs to be done not 'how' to do it.
  • Structure - build a structure for the future with the right roles and clear accountability.

Achieving the objective

Instead of a business controlling the owners' lives, a healthy business fuels freedom. Nick's EOS practice combines his military and entrepreneurial experience in applying EOS to achieve healthy businesses that owners once again enjoy running.

"I encourage veterans to lead their businesses with the same clarity, courage, and command they brought to their service."

Simplifying complexity

Nick's process taps into things veterans are already good at doing - adapting and overcoming, staying calm during stressful times, building high performing teams, and simplifying complexity.
